Emily Joy Perrin, age 61, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022. She is survived by her sister, Denise P. Wilkerson and her husband Wayne, and her sister-in-law Ginny G. Perrin; and many adoring cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mabel and Joe Perrin and her "big" brother, Preston Perrin.

If you were to ask Emmie what brought her joy, she would tell you .... music, dancing, playing handbells, singing with the Song Birds, bowling, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, working at Hermitage Enterprises, family reunions, going to Sunday School at Ridge Baptist Church, celebrating holidays, birthdays, and vacations with her family. To those who knew Emmie well, she had a great sense of humor, loved to tease, and could entertain others with her unexpected wit.

Her family would like to thank those who cared for and guided Emmie through a happy life:

Virginia E. Randolph School, Hermitage Enterprises, Ridge Baptist Church, Trevor Group Home and Gayton Group Home of Henrico County, Kindred Hospice and Autumn Care of Mechanicsville. And thanks to all who knew her, loved her and always showed her special kindness.

Her middle name was Joy and how appropriate ..... for she brought much joy to everyone she met.

A visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 5th from 12:30 PM to 2 PM at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, in Richmond. A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park.
