Jenkins, Elizabeth Ashlin, 94, of Sandston, passed away May 4, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Miley and Ethel Ashlin; husband, Pete Jenkins; son, Butch Jenkins and six siblings.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Peggy Jenkins; grandchildren, Angie Burnett (Brian), Crystal Williams (Matt) and Kevin Jenkins (Lindsay); seven great-grandchildren, Nick, Thomas, Tyler, Abigail, Sydney, Maddie and Kam; and her only living brother, Ray Ashlin.
She retired from the Life Insurance Company of Virginia after more than 40 years of service.
Known to many as “Nanny Liza” and “Nanny BeBe”, she will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, love of Washington Nationals baseball, and most importantly, the unconditional love of her family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 15 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16 at Nelsen Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
