Randy was passionate about helping others and knew at an early age that he wanted to be a doctor. As a physician he was compassionate, attentive and caring. He was an advocate for his patients and colleagues and believed that you should always “do the right thing.” He felt blessed to serve the community and viewed his patients and co-workers as family and friends. Randy was a devoted and passionate fan of UVA sports. He enjoyed playing golf, attending sporting events and exploring the outdoors. But above all, Randy’s greatest joy was his family. He cared deeply about them and was incredibly proud of his children. He lit up when he talked about them and loved watching them play sports. His family is grateful for his dedication, patience and belief in each of them. Randy enjoyed the simple things in life and always looked forward to spending time with family and friends. He has touched many and his positive impact will continue to live on through others. He will be missed terribly.
