Dorothy McArthur, 84, gained her wings on December 19, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband, William McArthur; her parents, Howard and Elisabeth Hardiman; her brother, James Hardiman (Pauline) and her brother-in-law David Trentam. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Walters (Richard) and Frances Trentam; brother, Howard Hardiman (Linda); beloved sons, Kevin McArthur and David McArthur (Regina); best friends, Dot Dulipsy and Suzy Lowry and many close family and friends. Dorothy was an avid sports fan, cheering for the Cowboys, the Braves and her son’s softball teams, for which she never missed a game. She was a member of Laurel Park Methodist Church, where she made and nurtured many close friendships. One of her closest friendships was with Aggie, the owner of Aggie’s Attic, where Dorothy worked for many years. Dorothy was an excellent cook, preparing meals for students at Hermitage High School for more than 20 years in addition to hosting spectacular holiday meals for her entire family. She even prepared lunch for her sons every day when they came to visit her. Dorothy will be remembered as a friendly, welcoming soul and the best mom two boys could ask for. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
