Obituary - Dorothy Hamm Currin

CURRIN, Dorothy Hamm, passed away on September 21, 2023, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie K. Hamm and father, Vernard L. Hamm. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Mark L. Currin; two daughters, Leslie Ann Currin and Ann Marie Turek (Austin); four grandchildren, Haily Currin, Savannah Turek, Chloe Turek, and William Roop; two sisters, Diana Steele and Terry Allen (Mike); brother, Vernard L. Hamm, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where services will be held 12 noon Friday, September 29, 2023. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer Baptist Church Building Fund, 3140 Darbytown Rd., Henrico, VA 23231.
