Dolores "Dee Dee" Gathright Hamilton, age 75, of Highland Springs, Virginia passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hamilton Jr.
Dee Dee provided the Highland Springs community with child care services for over 30 years. She was the president of the Highland Springs little league association earlier in her life. She will be missed by those who loved her.
She is survived by her children, Laura Burton (Byron) and Kenneth Hamilton III (Heather); grandchildren, Brittany Barlow, Caitlin Neisz, John Hamilton, and Micah Hamilton; and sister, Betty Jean Castle.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. Where a service will be held at 12pm on Thursday, September 28, 2023 with interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, VA 23150.
