Diana Christiansen Powell, 65, of Highland Springs, entered the arms of the Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Henry Christiansen; biological mother, Gertrude Tyree; and grandmother, Ellen Jacobsen.

Diana was the former owner and operator of Cut & Curl Hair Salon for over 10 years and retired from Goodwill. She enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her garden and farming. Diana also loved to spend quality time with her granddaughter, Kathryn Marano.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 17 years, Michael I. Powell; children, Matthew Marano (Angie), Justin Marano (Brandi); seven grandchildren; mother, Betty Christiansen; brother, Donald Christiansen (Danielle); uncles, Albert Christiansen Jr. (Virginia), Jimmie Main; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, at Corinth United Methodist Church, 23 W. Williamsburg Rd., Sandston, Va. 23150, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
