David Wilson Ripley, 81, of Sandston, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest L. Ripley; mother, Elizabeth Geary Ripley; and brother, Ernest L. Ripley Jr.
David served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1958 to 1966. He was a truck driver for Symbol Mattress. David enjoyed collecting coins and opened Connections Coin Company in 2003.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Thelma B. Ripley; children, Chris Ripley (Joyce), Donnie Ripley (Lisa), Rick Ripley; Vickie L. Will (Jeff), Robyn T. Ewens (Bob); sister, Judith Braley; sister-in-law, Margaret Belcher; and grandchildren, Allison Ripley, Thomas Ripley, Jordan Ripley, Taylor Ripley, Jamie Gastrich, Aaron David Marshall, Rickie Ripley Jr., Elizabeth Ripley, Andrew Ripley.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
