Obituary - Cornelia Nichols Deyerle

Deyerle, Cornelia “Connie” Nichols, 71, passed away on June 1, 2024. She was born in Richmond, Virginia on June 18, 1952 to the late Richard Wilton Deyerle and Cornelia Nichols Deyerle.
Connie graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Longwood College with a BS in Mathematics and Virginia Commonwealth University with a Masters in Education and Administration.
Survivors include her brother, R. Wilton Deyerle, Jr., cousin, Whitney Deyerle of Roanoke and dear friend, Brenda Brickley of Jacksonville. She was also survived by her beloved cockapoo, Eloise.
Connie retired as department chair of the Mathematics Department at Byrd Middle School. She was a member of First Baptist Church, The Tuckahoe Woman’s Club and a weekly bridge club of 50 years. She was a dear sister and friend who will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 11:00 am with a viewing at 10:30 in the First Baptist Church Chapel on Monument Avenue. Interment in Hollywood Cemetery will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to animal rescue organizations such as the Henrico Humane Society or the SPCA.
