Obituary - Cornelia Elizabeth Preddy Tillotson

Cornelia Elizabeth Preddy Tillotson, 88 of Richmond, died October 9, 2024 at Henrico Doctors Hospital. She was born April 18, 1936 in Glen Allen to the late Alvin Leonard Preddy Sr and Opal Maggie Jones Preddy. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Tillotson Light (Ryland) of Chatham; grandson, Alexander Heath Light (Brenna) of Danville, and nieces and nephews.
She received a Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of Richmond. She taught school for more than 35 years, serving as social studies department chair at Byrd Middle and Godwin High schools.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m, Friday, October 18, 2024 at The West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, where funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024. Interment will follow at Westhampton Cemetery.
