Obituary - Cleveland George Grizzard Jr.

Cleveland George Grizzard, Jr. 83, of Richmond passed away at his home Sunday, December 15, 2024. “C.G.” loved baseball and was a coach at Tuckahoe Middle School for 32 years. He loved hunting, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with his, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents the late Cleveland George Grizzard, Sr. and Fredora Verlander Grizzard; sister, Barbara Kelly; granddaughter Lindsey Grizzard Braun.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Grizzard; son, Robert (Kathy) Grizzard; daughter, Amy (Luther) Wright; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Grizzard, Josh Press, Emma Press, and step-grandson Ryan Cowell.
A memorial service will be held 1pm on January 18, 2025, at the Masonic Home of Virginia Chapel, 500 Masonic Ln, Richmond, Va. 23223. Reception to follow.
