Obituary - Cheryl Faye Carter Eberly

Cheryl Faye Carter Eberly, 75, of Varina, went to her heavenly home on Friday, March 17, 2023.

Cheryl was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend who loved the Lord, her family, gardening, shopping, going to Nags Head, and celebrating milestones with her family and friends. She was a member of Four Mile Creek Baptist Church and was a member of the Varina High School class of 1965 and enjoyed getting together with classmates.

Cheryl worked at the Department of Health and the Department of Education with the state of Virginia and had many co-workers she called good friends through the years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Margaret Carter, and her husband of 50 years, Bobby Eberly. She is survived by her daughters, Kristen Pierce (David) and Leanne Coston (Duane); grandchildren, James, Julia, Darren, and Anna; brother, Wayne Carter (Jeanne); as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 26, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 27, at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church, 2950 New Market Rd., Henrico, Va. 23231. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children’s Ministry at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church.
