Obituary - Cecil Lloyd Gregory Jr.

Cecil Lloyd Gregory, Jr. "C.L.", age 88, of Glen Allen, VA, passed away at home on Friday, April 29, 2022. Cecil was born May 13, 1933 in Pocahontas, VA to the late Cecil and Verda Gregory. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rita Gregory. He is also survived by his three children and five grandchildren. Daughters, Celeste Bowers (Dan), Brysen and Baileigh, Lorelei Gregory (Joe Hampshire) and son, Lloyd Gregory (Dana), Kenley, Crew and Callad.
Cecil was employed by the SCC, Bureau of Financial Institutions for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing (Master angler) and golf. Cecil was a long time member of Cambridge Baptist Church and most recently, a member of Hunton Baptist Church. He was a Mason, member of Acca Shrine and American Legion Post 244.
A visitation for Cecil will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 12:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Christian Action, P.O. Box 608, Pocahontas, VA 24635.
