Carola Neff Grayson, “Carol” by those who loved her, 77, of Henrico, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. She was born in Washington, DC to the late Edwin Defrees Neff and Alice Elizabeth Fitshugh Neff. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Alice Neff Lucan; beloved aunt, Leta Fitzhugh; and goddaughter, Laura Roberts.
She is survived by her godson, Eric Roberts; goddaughter, Journee Smith; dear friends, Kathi Harris and Paula Roberts; along with a host of first and second cousins.
Carol led a life of service teaching, tutoring, and working as a church librarian. She was an avid quilter whose talents spread into sewing and crafting. She loved to give the gift of books to her young cousins and her godchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Christ Lutheran Church, 7809 Woodman Rd., Richmond, VA 23228. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the memorial fund at Christ Lutheran Church.
