LaTouche, Burford (Bill) III, 74, of Sandston died peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

He was mostly retired as Senior Vice President and salesman from Momar, Inc.

He was predeceased by his parents Burford LaTouche, Jr and Honey LaTouche.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Frances Asher LaTouche; two daughters Katherine Poarch (Jacob) and Anna Otey (Frankie) both of Sandston, VA and his brother, Dr. Thomas M. LaTouche (LaVerne) of Elkton, VA. The lights of his life were his twin grandsons Landen and Ryden Poarch. He is also survived by three nieces Elizabeth Ferguson (Ben), Christine LaTouche, and Laura LaTouche, as well as two nephews Jim Ferguson and Bo Ferguson (Amanda); and many other extended family and friends.

Mr. LaTouche was a loving husband and father, dedicated member of Corinth United Methodist Church, avid sports fan (and player in his younger days) and “Coach” to many students and players from his beloved Highland Springs High School tenure in the 1970s and various softball teams for both he and his daughters. He attended Ferrum College, where he met Frances, before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University to complete his bachelor’s and master’s degrees becoming a lifelong VCU Athletics baseball and basketball fan. He believed in helping anyone whether his family, students and players, or church members with the United Methodist Men. He never met a stranger and always had a heartfelt greeting and handshake.

Services will be held at Corinth United Methodist Church on Monday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 25 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231 as well as Monday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. before the service.

Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park. Graveside service will be held in the mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to Corinth United Methodist Church.
