Bronson Ewing Stoneman, 88, of Varina, Virginia, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, joining The Lord.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Janet Chase Stoneman, along with his daughter, Janet Benford (Bob); grandchildren, Matthew (Abby); and great-grandsons, Gabe, Joseph and Amy Muncy, and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Emery, Preston, and Paul Benford. Also surviving him are his son, Bronson Jr. “Butch” (Pam); grandchildren, Casey (Donald), Becky (Rob); and great-granddaughters, Ellie, Abbey (Zack); son, Bryan (Beth); and granddaughter, Katy.

Bronson was the youngest of Wilmer and Irene Stoneman’s three children. He is survived by his sister, Irene Ellis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bronson attended Virginia Tech and served in the United States Navy. He had a deep love for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

A private burial service will be held at Varina Episcopal Church, followed by a Celebration of Life at Laurel Hill Church on Saturday, July 15, at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
