Snead, Brenda “Sue” Rhea, 77, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Snead Sr.; and her father and mother, Hatfert and Sallie Rhea. She is survived by her three sons, Brian Jr. (Linda), Brent and Brandon (Misty); her sister, Linda Rhea (Charles Long); brother, Mickey Rhea (Jane); her grandchildren, Derek (Shana) and Casey (Jordyn) Peay, Zack (Colleen), Brant, McKayla, Chad, Brooklyn, Braxton and Brady Snead; as well as four great –grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.

Sue was born in Wilder, Virginia and grew up as a coal miner’s daughter in Clinchfield, Virginia before moving to Richmond, where she met Brian. She attended both East Tennessee State University and VCU. She finished her work career retiring from many years of service at Tuckahoe Orthopedics. She enjoyed her time at Tuckahoe Little League managing the concession stand for several years, attending church and keeping the nursery and watching any of her kids/grandkids play sports. She also invented Extreme Couponing before it was a thing.

Her memorial service will be held at North Run Baptist Church, 2100 Lydell Drive Richmond, Va. 23228 at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, with visitation starting at 12 noon. A reception will follow the service.
