Beverly Fern Johnson Pace, aged 78, passed away in Richmond, VA after a nearly two decade struggle with living with Parkinson’s disease. She is the beloved daughter of the late Joseph Wesley Johnson and Marjorie Fern Harllee Johnson. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Timothy Carter Pace; children, Marjorie Pace Barbour (Justin) and Brian Wesley Pace (Christopher Sexton); grandchildren, Sean and Madeline Barbour; grandson of the heart, Beau Wentz; nephew, Scott Bland (Vanessa Rorie-Bland) and numerous extended family and friends.

The first woman in her family to graduate college, from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, Beverly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion to family, a raucous sense of humor, and a gentle sense of snark and roll of the eyes to let you know she cared. The family wishes to thank the team at Commonwealth Senior Living of Henrico, and especially “squad” Luis and Paras, for giving Beverly all the care and love in the world when she needed it most.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home – Chesterfield Chapel, 14301 Ashbrook Parkway, Chesterfield, VA 23832 for her memorial gathering and a time of fellowship. Beverly’s memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Ellison officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
