Betty Luebbert Wilton passed away peacefully at home in Cedarfield on December 20, 2023. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Betty was born January 23, 1925. She was preceded in death by her father Carl Heinrich Luebbert, mother Margaret Martin Luebbert and husband E. Carlton Wilton, Sr.

She is survived by her beloved children; sons, E. Carlton Wilton, Jr. (Shay) and Henry L. Wilton (Cindy), daughters, Peggy Wilton Copeland Larmore (Fred), and Lin Wilton Kennerly. Her grandsons, Douglas W. Copeland III (Lindsey), Scott Wilton Copeland (Sarah), Judson Hughes Wilton (Catie) and William Keith Kennerly II. Her granddaughters, Layne Luebbert Wilton, Catherine Wilton Kennerly and Jane Elizabeth Wilton Shetzline (Justin). Her great grandchildren, Hadley Blair Wilton, Ann Douglas Copeland and Caroline Grace Copeland.

Betty was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, the Junior Board of Retreat Hospital, the Junior Board of the Tuckahoe Women's Club, The Council of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the Country Club of Virginia.

Betty and her family wish to thank all her caregivers, especially Christopher Wood, Geraldine Sharp and Betty Robinson.

Visitation will be at Woody Funeral Home-Parham December 26, 2023 from 3pm - 5pm. A private graveside service will be at St. Mary's Episcopal Church­ Goochland.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made in the form of contributions to Bon Secours Mercy Health-Hospice.
