Bertha Constancia Martinez, 87, of Henrico, VA., passed away on Thursday June 8, 2023. Bertha was the eldest child of Jesus and Maria Constancia.
She was born in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico. She was raised in a large, humble and loving family in Melvin, TX.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Tommy “Prieto” Martinez. They loved traveling throughout Europe and the U.S., their favorite cities were Paris and Las Vegas.
Bertha owned and operated Bertha’s Beauty Boutique in Aurora, CO. for over 25 years.
She is celebrated by her proud and grateful children, Tommy Martinez and wife, Carmen of OK, Oscar Martinez and wife, Beth of TX, Beatrice “Lulu” Perez of CO, Betty Zwigart and husband William of CO, Brenda Burton and husband Sam of VA, Blanche Martinez of VA and Timothy Martinez and Adriana of Columbia, S.A. She will be greatly missed by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Bertha’s siblings include Nelia Flores (Deceased), Luvin Constancia and wife Gloria of TX, Lupe Lopex of TX, Amanda Lopez and husband Paul of TX, Jesse Constancia (Deceased), Marta Corrales and husband Oscar of KS, Elida “Lillie” Ramon (Deceased), Dora Urteaga of TX, Ninfa Aguero of TX, Jose Constancia of TX.
Bertha will be at peace in Fort Logan National Cemetery in CO.
