Obituary - Berniece M. Speller

Berniece M. Speller, 78 of Henrico, Va., passed away February 4, 2023. Preceding her in death were her parents, Hobert and Marie Williams, her sisters Sarah Greene and Flossie Outlaw, and brothers: Earl, Hobert, John and James Williams. She is survived by her sister, Laura Swain (Bishop James Swain, Sr.); sister in-law, Joyce Williams; brother in-laws, David Outlaw and William Greene; daughter, Wanda Garrard (Jason); grandchildren, Kimisha, Kameron, Elijah, LaQuan and Jermar; great-grandchildren, Taiyler, Trinity, Mariyah, and Angel. And a host of nieces and nephews and family and friends. Berniece was a faithful member of The Faith Family Worship Center under the leadership of Dr. Viola Taylor for 41 years; where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was committed to the ministry. After the passing of Dr. Taylor in 2019, she continued being a faithful member under the current pastors, Angelo and Kimara Parker. Berniece loved the Lord with all her heart, and she loved her family and church family. Her remains rest at Bliley’s-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, also where a funeral ceremony will be held 12 noon Saturday, February 11. Interment to follow in Westhampton Memorial Park.
