Obituary - Barbara Joan Flubacher Nimey

Barbara Joan Nimey, 83, of Highland Springs passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022.
She was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church in Sandston and was a retired hostess with Richmond International Airport restaurants.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Nimey; six brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter.
She is survived by her children, Joe and Sandy Doak, Bobby and Mary Doak, Debbie and Kenny Miller, Jimmy and Stacy Nimey and Diane and Steven Phelps; eight grandsons; eight granddaughters; 24 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Flubacher; and numerous beloved nephews and nieces who were very dear to her heart.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home Reception Center, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 17, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
