Augie was a faithful member of St. Anthony’s Maronite Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the St. Mary’s Beneficial and Social Union. He was a devoted fan of both University of Virginia Sports and the New York Yankees and a longtime member of the Virginia Athletic Foundation. Augie was a well known sports encyclopedia, called on by local newspapers and radio stations for sporting facts and statistics. But his greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. Due to Covid-19, burial will be private and the family will hold a Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Anthony’s Maronite Catholic Church.
