Alice Nuttall Ellis, 84, of Varina, life time member of Calvary United Methodist Church preceded in death by her first husband Dickie Purcell.

She is survived by her loving husband Donald W. Ellis; generous and loving son Darrell R. Purcell and his wife Donna, who she loved as a daughter;

Cullen M. Purcell, a precious grandson and love of her life; two wonderful step-children, Pamela E. Worner and Lance A. Ellis (Margaret); four loving step-grandchildren, Ashley Ittner (Jason), Krystle Ittner (Joey), Jessica Wise (Justin) and Hunter Ellis; seven special step great grandchildren, Gabi, Jackson, Easton & Greyson Wise and Lyric L and Campbell Ittner and Gabriel Ittner; sisters-in-law Dale Ellis and Joan Purcell; nephews, William Craddock, Edward Nuttall, Jr. and David Nuttall; nieces, Peggy Shearengen and Brenda Braddock; two loving cats, George and Grover, who she loved dearly.

After retirement from employee sales at E.I. DuPont Co., she was a caregiver to the elderly, which gave her much joy in life.

Funeral Service by Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum, services to be held at Calvary United Methodist Church 1637 Williamsburg Rd., Richmond, Va. on Monday, May 16, 2022; Visitation 10:30 am – 11:30 am, Service 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, Interment 1:00 pm, Washington Memorial Cemetery, Sandston, Va.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SPCA 2519 Hermitage Rd. Richmond Va., for protection of stray animals, or Calvary United Methodist Church “Kitchen Fund” at 1637 Williamsburg Rd., Richmond Va. 23231.
