NOTICE OF WILLINGNESS TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING

Proposed Project:
The Proposed Project consists of the development and implementation of ±38 electric vehicle (EV) charging ports at seven community facilities within Henrico County. The seven proposed Project locations span across Henrico County at existing county-owned locations.
- The Eastern Government Center is located at 3820 Nine Mile Rd, Richmond, VA 23223
- The Eastern Recreation Center is located at 1440 N Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23223
- The Fairfield Library is located at 1401 N Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23223
- Short Pump Park is located at 3329 Pump Rd, Henrico, VA 23233
- The Sports and Events Center is located at 1 All Star Boulevard, Glen Allen, VA 23059
- The Tuckahoe Library is located at 1901 Starling Dr, Regency, VA 23229
- The Western Government Center is located at 4305 E Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23228
The Project includes implementation of the EV chargers, possible expansion or alteration of sidewalks, curb ramps, and pavement markings to fulfill Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, and utility connections at each location. No right-of-way (R/W) acquisition or permanent easements are anticipated as part of the proposed Project.
Project Review:
Project information, including the National Environmental Policy Act document in the form of a Categorical Exclusion, can be viewed at the Henrico County Department of General Services office located at 4301 E. Parham Rd, Henrico, VA 23273; 804-501-5763. Please call ahead to ensure the availability of appropriate staff to answer your questions. In compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106 and 36 CFR Part 800, information concerning the potential effects of the proposed improvements on properties listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places will be available with the Categorical Exclusion. The Virginia Department of Historic Resources has opined that the historic properties in the area of potential effects will not be adversely affected by the project.
Written Request:
By this notice, Henrico County is indicating its willingness to hold a public hearing for this project if individual concerns cannot be addressed. You may request that a public hearing be held by sending a written request to the address below stating your concerns on or before January 20, 2025.
