To mark the 31st anniversary of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Northstar Career Academy will recognize local businesses that support people with disabilities and ensure that they are contributing members of the workforce.
On Oct. 1, the program will begin at 9:15 a.m. with tours of Northstar Career Academy and refreshments. A business partner celebration and awards ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m., followed by remarks by Sarah Tyler of Dominion Youth Services and an open house and networking at 10 a.m.
Northstar Career Academy is located at 8155A Shrader Road in western Henrico.
