Nomination period opens for REB leadership award for principals

The nomination period for the 2018-19 REB Awards for Distinguished Educational Leadership has opened. The organization is seeking nominations of outstanding principals from Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield and Richmond. Honorees receive an unrestricted $7,500 cash grant, as well as $7,500 to be used for school initiatives.

Nominees should have served in their current positions for at least three years.

The awards are administered through The Community Foundation. Nominators may be students, parents, colleagues, school personnel or administrators or others in the community. Principals may not nominate themselves.

Nominations must be mailed or hand-delivered and must be received by 5 p.m. on Nov. 8. Emailed or faxed nominations are not accepted.
