Nightly lane closures planned for Henrico bridge removal beginning Dec. 28

Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation will implement nightly alternating single and double-lane closures Thursday, Dec. 28 in both directions of I-95 between Chamberlayne Avenue (mile marker 81) and the I-295 Exit (mile marker 85) from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m., as crews begin demolition and removal of the Scott Road Overpass Bridge. The project is scheduled to be completed in January. (It originally was scheduled to begin Dec. 4 but was delayed.)
