Nightly closures planned on I-64 in Henrico Aug. 28-Sept. 8

Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation will implement lane closures on I-64 near Pemberton Road between mile marker 179.5 and 180.5 beginning Monday, Aug. 28 and running through Friday, Sept. 8 as bridge rehabilitation work continues. No lane closures will take place between Friday, Sept.1 and Monday, Sept. 4.
The following lane closures are scheduled on I-64:
• Monday, Aug. 28 through Thursday, Aug. 31 – Two left lanes of I-64 westbound will be closed between mile marker 180.5 to mile marker 179.5 between 9 p.m. and 10 a.m.
• Tuesday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 8 – Two right lanes of I-64 eastbound will be closed between mile marker 179.5 to mile marker 180.5 between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Motorists should be aware lane closures will be continuous until completion of the rehabilitation project in late summer 2024.
