Partner Veterinary is building a new emergency and specialty veterinary center in Henrico's West End next year.

The 20,000-square-foot facility, to be located at 1616 Three Chopt Road in Henrico, will supplement the company's existing urgent care center at 6506 West Broad Street in the county, which opened earlier this year.

Partner Veterinary President Christine Stafford saw a need for expanded services to provide care.

“The additional site is a great fit for us and the community," she said. "We are thrilled to answer the call to help pet families by offering additional services. We are dedicated to expanding our footprint in an area that is currently underserved while attracting talented teammates just as committed to the community as we are."

The new location will provide two distinct types of services: 24-hour emergency care for cases such as acute trauma, heatstroke, or weakness; and specialty care to provide critical care, internal medicine, neurology, medical oncology, surgery, and in-house MRI and CT services.

“I started in this industry to heal pets," CEO Katie Brooks said. "I stay in it to support people and provide pet families with top-notch care while reimagining what a team-first approach and true life balance look like.”
