New retirement community opening this month in Henrico

A new resort-style independent living retirement community — the $31.6 million Aspire at Carriage Hill — will open in Henrico with a celebratory event Thursday, July 25.

The grand opening will run from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m.. The celebration will feature live music, hors d’oeuvres and tastings from the culinary staff, libations from area breweries and wineries, painting by a local artist and fitness demonstrations. Aspire at Carriage Hill is located at 5020 Sulky Drive in Henrico.

The 177,810 square foot community offers 148 one- and two-bedroom monthly rental apartments with patios or balconies in 10 floor plans. The monthly rental fee for an all-inclusive, two-bedroom luxury apartment with patio or balcony starts at $2,700. Property taxes, basic cable and all utilities except telephone are included.

Amenities include an indoor pool, a Wi-Fi lounge, a salon and spa, a fitness center, an art studio, a movie theater, a grand room, a business center and four dining options ranging from fine to casual. The grounds feature an outdoor patio, manicured walking paths, a gazebo with fire pit offering outdoor dining and a full-service bar. Residents can grow their own flowers and produce in private garden areas.

Aspire’s services include a concierge, around-the-clock security, an emergency response system in each apartment, weekly housekeeping, maintenance and repairs, along with scheduled transportation, snow and trash removal.

There are social, educational, spiritual and fitness programs and events. The community also features the Hound Hill Pet Park and a car wash station. Residents have access to the adjacent gated 55+ Acclaim at Carriage Hill apartments and its amenities, including a koi pond, bocce ball and outdoor pool.

Aspire at Carriage Hill is managed by Solvere Living, the operations management division of Solutions Advisors Group, based in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Aspire at Carriage Hill, developed and owned by Arlington-based Bonaventure Realty Group, is expected to create more than 35 full- time jobs .
