New Jersey man arrested, charged in Henrico bank robbery

A 24-year-old new Jersey man is under arrest, charged with robbing a Henrico bank Jan. 31.

James T. Hendricks faces charges related to the robbery of a bank in the 8000 block of West Broad Street shortly after 10:30 a.m. that day. A man had entered the bank, demanded money and left after receiving it, according to police.

Henrico Police and FBI officials arrived to investigate the robbery, which occurred near the police division’s headquarters. Within 24-hours, Hendricks was taken into custody without incident. He faces charges of robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Hendricks was transported to the Henrico County jail, where he is being held without bond.

Police are encouraging anyone who may witness a crime to try to remember as much detail as possible, such as what color the suspect’s clothing was, what his or her approximate height and weight were, what type of vehicle was involved and what direction did it travel.
