New COVID cases in Henrico fall for the fourth straight day

Henrico’s new COVID case counts fell for the fourth straight day Thursday, to 133, according to the Virginia Department of Health. The county’s average number of new cases during the past seven days also continues to drop, down to 182 as of Thursday.

Henrico has reported 11 new deaths and nine new hospitalizations during the past three days.

The county’s PCR positivity percentage during the seven days ending Jan. 10 was down to 13.2%, while its rapid test positivity percentage during the same period dropped to 12.1%. The county is averaging more than 2,400 tests a day (about 1,630 PCR tests and 800 rapid tests), according to the VDH.
