New COVID cases in Henrico decline for third straight day

For the second straight day, Henrico’s total number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases is below 100 – following nine consecutive days during which the opposite was true. It also was the third straight day of decline among new case totals.

The Virginia Department of Health reported 82 new cases in the county Dec. 15, down from 98 Monday. Henrico’s average number of daily new cases during the past seven days has dropped to 127, down from its peak of 148 just three days ago.

The county also witnessed the virus-related death of a person in his or her 60s, as well as one new virus-related hospitalization.

Henrico's 7-day positivity percentage has decreased slightly, reaching 8.5% as of Dec 12.
