National Prescription Drug Take Back Day events planned Oct. 26

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, Oct. 26, and a number of locations throughout Henrico County and Metro Richmond will be accepting unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

The effort is an initiative of the U.S. Department of Justice and the Drug Enforcement Administration's Office of Diversion Control. Collection events will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. nationally; to search for locations near you, click here.

Among the Henrico locations at which you can drop off prescription drugs:
• Henrico Doctors' Hospital, 7607 Forest Avenue;
• Henrico Division of Police, 7721 East Parham Road;
• Wegmans, 12200 Wegmans Boulevard;
• University of Richmond's Robins Center, 365 College Road;
• Fairfield Area Library, 1401 North Laburnum Avenue.
