National Night Out postponed until October

The 37th Annual National Night Out, originally scheduled for Aug. 4, has been postponed to Oct. 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The event typically takes place the first Tuesday of August each year throughout the nation, military bases worldwide and Canada. More than 38 million people in more than 16,000 communities in all 50 states participate.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer.
This year’s event was postponed because of the pandemic.
