On Oct. 20, the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation held its Fourth Annual "More than a Pink Ribbon" Awards Luncheon at the Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center in Glen Allen. The event, which celebrated progress in breast cancer education and advocacy, was highlighted by keynote speaker Heather Marie Van Cleave, a breast cancer survivor, domestic violence survivor and mental health advocate who has spoken to audiences around the globe. Awards honorees (pictured, from left) were also celebrated, including Mimi Nguyen of Mimi Nails Spa (Community Champion Award), Dr. Clifford L. Deal III, MD, FACS (Achievement in Healthcare), and Delegate Shelly Simonds (Legislative Impact).
