Mills Godwin earns narrow win over Deep Run 56-49

A sigh of relief filled the air in Mills Godwin’s locker room after Friday’s 56-49 win against Deep Run in a Virginia boys basketball matchup on December 10.

The clock was the only thing that stopped Mills Godwin, which enjoyed the upper hand in a 36-20 final quarter, too.

Deep Run came from behind to grab the advantage 29-20 at intermission over Mills Godwin.

Deep Run showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 20-8 advantage over Mills Godwin as the first quarter ended.
