The following local students were named to the summer 2023 president’s list at Southern New Hampshire University: Taylor Richardson, Denise Eddy, Starletta Holt, Nicole Pitman, Sierra Iwaniw, Magen Francis, Shurine Perry, Jamie Ballinger, Naimah Mobarak, Tyler Simpson, Sharnisha Steed, Robert Webster, Stacey White, Tonya McNeill, Curby Wasco, Adam Vosburg, Angelo Melino and Abigail Toledo, of Henrico; Anson Owen and Amirah Pirbhai, of Glen Allen; Britney Jackson, of Highland Springs; and Allison Hoffman, Taylor Bennett and Kathleen Fisher, of Sandston. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.700 or higher.


Alaaeldin Haroun and Shawneice Smith of Henrico were named to the summer 2023 dean’s list at Southern New Hampshire University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.500-3.699 for the semester.


The State University of New York Athletic Conference has named Matthew Jahn of Glen Allen, a student at SUNY Cortland, to the 2022-23 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll. To achieve this honor, students must earn a grade point average of 3.3 or higher through the spring semester.


Brian Carroll of Henrico was named to the summer 2023 dean’s list at Missouri State University. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher.


Timothy Rodriguez of Henrico was named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 for the semester.


Kali Fernandez of Glen Allen is enrolled at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. as an undergraduate student for the fall 2023 semester.

Glenn Youngkin recently announced additional key administration and board appointments: Information Technology Advisory Council – Cherif Kane of Glen Allen, database administrator at Black Knight, Inc.; Central Virginia Transportation Authority – J. Rex Davis of Glen Allen, president of Davis Oil Company; Board for Waste Management Facility Operators – Matthew Terrell of Henrico, chief operating officer at TFC Recycling; Secure and Resilient Commonwealth Panel – Adam Sidney Lee of Glen Allen, vice president and CSO of Dominion Energy; and Virginia Passenger Rail Authority – John Delandro of Glen Allen, financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.
