Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently announced additional key administration and board appointments: Broadband Advisory Council – Richard Schollmann of Henrico, executive director at Virginia Broadband Industry Association; State Rehabilitation Advisory Council – Heidi Lawyer of Glen Allen, curriculum support specialist at Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC); Student Advisory Board – Elizabeth Cobb of Henrico, student; Office of New Americans Advisory Board – Daniel Villar of Henrico, director for the Office of Ethnic Ministries at Catholic Diocese of Richmond.


Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines, recently initiated the following local students at Virginia Commonwealth University: Katharine Anders, Tanya Diggs-Fountain, Cameron Law, Stacie Lefeavers, Samantha Lichtenstein, Hina Naeem, Sagun Poudel, Chastyn Smith, Samantha Thibodeaux, Alexandra Vagonis, Alexandra Wynn and Keni Zhu, of Henrico; Sahil Chindal, Sally Johnson and Zhiyu Zou, of Glen Allen; and Riley Fanus, of Sandston. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
