Jeffrey Ferguson, M.D., of VCU Health Systems and the Henrico County Division of Fire, earned the Old Dominion Emergency Medical Service Alliance Regional EMS Award for Innovation Excellence in EMS. He was among 12 winners from Virginia Health Planning Districts 13, 14, 15, and 19 announced during the 2020 ODEMSA Regional EMS Council awards ceremony on Facebook Live Nov. 2. Recipients were honored for their achievements and dedication to the EMS system across the region, state, and nation.
Alhaji Kamara and Jasiah Robinson of Henrico have been admitted into Culver-Stockton College’s incoming class for the fall 2021 semester. Both students were awarded the Hilltop Scholarship, an award of $10,500 per year for four years, provided the students remain in good academic standing. Kamara and Robinson are seniors at Hermitage High School.
Micah Cohen of Henrico was presented his ring at The Citadel’s Ring Presentation Ceremony Sept. 25. Cohen is a senior in the Class of 2021.
Conner Owens of Henrico recently was initiated into the all-discipline collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi. Owens is a student at Mississippi State University.
The following students from Henrico County graduated this summer from the University of the Cumberlands: Venkata Lakshmi Narayana Irrinki, Vamshi Pranay Kanchusthambham, Rajaparameswara Reddy Sareddy, Revanth Reddy Kariveda, and Nikhilesh Kumar Thunga.
