Annagrace Hamson and Katherine Davenport Lord of Henrico graduated May 15 from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, Calif. Hamson, who attended Mills E. Godwin High School, graduated with distinction with a bachelor's degree in Engineering. Lord, who attended Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, graduated with distinction with a bachelor’s degree and departmental honors in humanities, social sciences and the arts.


Rhys Christian Kalama of Glen Allen graduated May 14 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts.


The following local students were named to the winter 2022 president’s list at Southern New Hampshire University: Kimberlea Rocher, Chase Terry, Shawneice Howell, Samantha Foote, Ashley Manucci, Janell Woodyard, Alexander Rodriguez, Alexcia Cegelski, Marquis Busby, Shurine Perry, Amit Jwarchan, David Hahn and Abigail Kyei-Mensah, of Henrico; Britney Jackson, of Highland Springs; and Jonathan Durden, Ariel Sharp and Amirah Pirbhai, of Glen Allen. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.700 or higher.


Brandon Hamilton and Katie Talley of Henrico were named to the winter 2022 dean’s list at Southern New Hampshire University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.500-3.699 for the semester.


Connor Hicks of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2022 dean’s list at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kan. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.


The following students from Henrico County recently graduated from Campbellsville University in Kentucky: Satya Santosh Prabhakar Satti, Noble Muller Vuppati, Pranay Tatikonda and Ravinder Mali.


Caroline Palmer of Glen Allen graduated May 7 with a bachelor of business administration degree in Management from Harding University in Searcy, Ark.


The following local students were named to the spring 2022 dean’s list at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.: Charlotte Harrison, John Whitlock, Carter Geissler and Graham Powell, of Henrico; and Victoria Hughes, of Glen Allen. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 for the semester.


Hunter S. Hayward of Henrico was named to the spring 2022 dean’s list at Shepherd University in West Virginia. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.


Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently announced appointments to his administration: Citizens’ Advisory Council on Furnishing and Interpreting the Executive Mansion: Betsy D. Beamer and David Botkins, of Henrico; State Board of Health – Patricia S. O’Bannon, of Henrico; The Treasury Board – Neil Amin, of Henrico; and Virginia Small Business Financing Authority – Mary Margaret Kastelberg, of Henrico.
