Kathryn Carithers of Henrico graduated magna cum laude May 5 from Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. Carithers earned a BS in Music.


The following local students were named to the 2023 winter/spring president’s list at Southern New Hampshire University: Ashley Manucci, Curby Wasco, Angelo Melino, Abigail Toledo, Latarsha Taylor, Jamie Ballinger, Tyler Simpson and Megan Francis, of Henrico; Jonathan Durden and Amirah Pirbhai, of Glen Allen; and Samantha Moore and Kathleen Fisher, of Sandston. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.700 or higher.


Vidya Mastriyana of Henrico graduated magna cum laude May 15 from Berea College in Kentucky. Mastriyana received a bachelor of science degree in Engineering Technologies and Applied Design.


Elizabeth Carley of Henrico was named to the spring 2023 president’s list at Trine University in Angola, Ind. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.750 or higher. Carley is majoring in Sports and Recreation.


The following local students were named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at Bridgewater College in Virginia: Grace Elder, Zhane’ Hines, Joshua Nuckols, Parker Sale and Jackson Wicker, of Henrico; Lucas Bauer, Santia Fields, Abigail Freeman and Sarah Henneberger, of Glen Allen; and Autumn Lewis and Hannah Mahan, of Sandston. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.


Noah Renfroe of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at Cedarville University in Ohio. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Renfroe is majoring in Industrial & Innov Design.


The following local students were named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at Furman University in Greenville, S.C.: Kendall Betz, Jackson Michalik, Rohan Halloran and Mary Helms, of Henrico; and Eva Brooks and Kenley Sapp, of Glen Allen. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
