Emaan Mughal of Glen Allen was among the New York Institute of Technology students who showcased their scholarly work at the annual Symposium of University Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE) in April. At New York Tech's New York City campus, 119 student research projects were shared in the form of oral presentations and poster presentations.


Emily Kinsey of Glen Allen was inducted April 7 into the University of Alabama Mortar Board Honor Society. Mortar Board, a national honor society for men and women, is based on leadership, scholarship and service. It is one of the highest honors that can be granted to seniors. Members must display outstanding dedication to service and leadership.


Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently appointed the following Henrico County residents to the Citizens’ Advisory Council on Furnishing and Interpreting the Executive Mansion: The Honorable Betsy D. Beamer, director of planning and organization at McGuireWoods Consulting, and David Botkins, senior strategic advisor for corporate affairs and communications at Dominion Energy.
