Laura Williamson of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2021 president’s list at Capital University in Bexley, Ohio. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or higher.


The following area students recently graduated with master’s degrees from University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky.: Jayakrishna Vinya Shanmukh Gurazada, of Glen Allen; and Sushma Pakala, Mounika Patel and Pradeep Reddy Boyapalli, of Henrico.


Kathryn Carithers of Henrico was named to the spring 2021 president’s list at Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher. Carithers is a sophomore majoring in Keyboard Performance.


David Durrette of Henrico was named to the spring 2021 dean’s list at Bob Jones University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average between 3.00-3.74 for the semester. Durrette is a senior majoring in Business Administration.


Naomi Davis and Michael Williams of Henrico and Chris Fenn of Glen Allen recently graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Va. Davis graduated summa cum laude.


Maria Maruri of Henrico graduated May 3 from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. She earned a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.


The following students from Henrico County were named to the spring 2021 dean’s list at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.: John Burgoyne, Elizabeth Ludovico and John Whitlock. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5.


The following students from Henrico County recently were initiated into the all-discipline collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi: Kaelie Jager, Karina Poulos, Charlotte Thornton, Molly Bruce, Clara Cooke and Allison Edwards. The students were initiated at James Madison University.
