Edward Fiscus Cole IV of Henrico was inducted into the Order of the Gown at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn., during a ceremony Jan. 14. The Order of the Gown is an academic honor society and unique student government body that is responsible for maintaining the spirit, traditions and ideals of the University of the South. Cole is the son of Claire and Ted Cole.


Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines, recently initiated the following local students: Daniel Clarke (Middle Tennessee State University), Lewis Grant (George Mason University) and Nikki Carrington (University of Maryland, Baltimore Campuses), of Henrico; and William Phipps (Longwood University), of Glen Allen.


The following local students were named to the fall 2021 dean’s list at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.: Hannah Silverman, of Glen Allen; and Aaron Stein and Ashish Vaidyanathan, of Henrico. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.


Bethany Anderson and Carson Ashby of Henrico recently graduated from Utah State University. Anderson earned a BS in Special Education and Elementary Education. Ashby earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering.


Duane Vigil of Henrico recently graduated with a certificate of completion in General Education from Salt Lake Community College in Utah.
