Samantha Hanczaryk of Henrico graduated Dec. 15 from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.
The Virginia Department of Aviation has announced the winners of the 2024 Virginia Aviation Art Contest, which included Nitya Boggavarapu, a student from Glen Allen, who won honorable mention in the Group III – Senior Category for 15 to 18-year-olds. This year’s contest theme was “Air Sports For A Peaceful World.”
The following students from Henrico County recently were initiated into the all-discipline collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi: Ashley Gromling (Longwood University), Brandon Dingess (Longwood University), and Virginia Featherston (Virginia Tech). Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
Andrew Smetana of Henrico was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
Rebecca Brown of Henrico was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at University of Maryland Global Campus. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Candyce Brock of Sandston was named to the fall 2023 honors list at Mercy College of Ohio. To be named to the honors list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled for 6-11 credit hours. Brock is pursuing a BS in Nursing (RN-BSN Completion).
The following local students were named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York: Hongfei Zhu and Aidan Kelley, of Glen Allen; and Anais Trott, of Henrico. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.400 or higher.
The following local students were named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Tufts University in Medford, Mass.: Diamond Lightfoot and Lexi Pasternak, of Henrico; and Nalani Payson, of Glen Allen. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
Ab Bullock of Henrico recently performed in the student-directed production of “Eurydice” at McDaniel College in Westminster, Md. Bullock is a freshman.
