James Madison University students William Bremer and Kendall Cole of Henrico participated in JMU’s alternative spring break March 15-22. The students volunteered at Catholic Charities of Louisville in Louisville, Ky. In total, 64 participants spent their spring breaks focused on a social issue, such as homelessness, resettlement, environmentalism or community wellness. The students spent the week living simply and serving their destination community.


Judson Frye of Henrico recently graduated with a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.


Avery Rogers of Henrico recently was initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Rogers is a student at Campbell University. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.


Taylor Henry and Hannah Silverman of Glen Allen and Iyanu Dosunmu of Henrico were named to the fall 2024 dean’s list at Washington University in Missouri. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.6 grade point average for the semester. Henry and Silverman are enrolled in the university’s College of Arts & Sciences while Dosunmu is enrolled in the Olin Business School.


Kylie Semo of Henrico was named to the fall 2024 dean’s list at Emerson College in Massachusettes. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.7 grade point average for the semester. Semo, a member of the Class of 2026, is majoring in Media Arts Production.
