Connor Hicks of Glen Allen graduated cum laude May 4 from the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kan. Hicks earned a bachelor of science degree in Exercise Science.
Christine Roberts Gettys of Henrico graduated May 19 with a master of arts in Liberal Studies from Hollins University in Roanoke, Va.
Teja Sai Raghava Gopidesi of Glen Allen recently graduated with a master of science degree in Information Studies at Trine University in Angola, Ind.
Jerry Brown of Glen Allen recently graduated with a master of arts degree in Higher Education Administration from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
Maddalena Petillo of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2024 president’s list at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.
Kali Fernandez of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2024 dean’s list at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.
The following local students were named to the spring 2024 dean’s list at Georgia State University: Amara Arrington, of Henrico; Naheem Fahm, of Glen Allen; and Jayda Starckey, of Highland Springs. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
Rory Miller of Henrico was named to the spring 2024 dean’s list at Washington College in Chestertown, Md. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently announced additional key administration and board appointments: State Rehabilitation Advisory Council – William Christopher Martin of Glen Allen, director of employment services at SOAR365; Radiation Advisory Board – Leslie Foldesi of Henrico, certified health physicist (emeritus), retired from Virginia Department of Health, and M. Rehan Khan, MD of Glen Allen, clinical professor of radiology at Virginia Commonwealth University.
