Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently announced additional key administration and board appointments: Advisory Board on Art Therapy – Leila Saadeh of Henrico, art therapist; Virginia Israel Advisory Board – Rob Slotnick of Henrico, chair of Jewish Community Relations Committee at Jewish Federation of Richmond and former managing partner and CEO of Café Caturra Espresso and Roastery; State Water Control Board – Steven Yob of Glen Allen, professional engineer and deputy county manager of Henrico County; Virginia Waste Management Board – Kimberly Hynes of Henrico, executive director of Central Virginia Waste Management Authority.


Lillie Deaton Connor and James Claiborne Wright of Henrico were named to the spring 2024 dean’s list at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.7 or higher.


The following local students graduated in May from University of Maryland Global Campus: Goma Mishra, of Glen Allen; and Bryan Aguilar-Galdamez, Rommel Hernandez, Jorge Hernandez and Monica Tunstall, of Henrico.


Iyanu Dosunmu of Henrico was named to the spring 2024 dean’s list at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.


Anne Jennings of Henrico recently graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Jennings majored in Environmental Studies and minored in French and Francophone Studies.


Hailey Nicole Sell of Glen Allen graduated summa cum laude May 19 from Western New England University in Springfield, Mass. Sell earned a BSE in Electrical Engineering.
